SHADES OF PALE
Shades of Pale reaches the perfect balance between tones of white and natural materials.
A simple shade at first sight, white is however never ‘easy’. On the contrary, it is so complex that it is extremely difficult to determine. And yet... white illuminates us as soon as dawn rises, and the human eye has always been sensitive to its multiple shades, distinguishing shiny whites from matt ones, soothing from energizing whites. Like a chameleon, white merges into both a warm or a cold atmosphere. Timeless, it is the ultimate depiction of brightness. Serenity, elegance, purity, freshness,... it symbolizes mainly positive values. It seems self-evident to reserve centre stage for shades of white in a collection consisting of natural materials.
Abaca weave, bacnoc, bamboo, jute, waterlily, raffia, sisal and other tropical fibres – capiz shells, paper, linen and other textiles: the collection offers a wide spectrum of products, patiently and carefully manufactured by skilled craftsmen, in order to obtain an authentic and original result.
Referring to japanese philosophy and other popular trends, the collection pays tribute to a return to craftmanship and the use of ancestral techniques, as well as the application of unique materials, full of meaning.
Shades of Pale invites you to accept imperfections and to value materials carrying the signature of their manufacturing process, without camouflaging marks, joints, patina... Go back to the essence, the elegance of natural material, without affecting its poetic charm...
Alabaster, blanc de Meudon, champagne, chalk, kaolin, egg-shell, silver, ceruse, milk, linen, platina, lead, cream, ivory... let yourself be enchanted by the endless variations of precious white tones.

ANATRES
‘Antarès’, the new cork collection of Omexco, twinkling with golden and silver reflections, really deserves the name of a star.
Radiant, Antarès reveals lights hidden behind shadows and fascinates by its material, both rough and precious, the result of highly skilled work by specialized craftsmen.
Natural product evoking the tree from which the cork is harvested (the bark of the cork-oak), enhanced with precious sparkles which reflect the light differently, depending on the hour of the day, always showing the material at its best.
Antarès swings between a warm and a cold atmosphere, creating a very contemporary look. A smart choice of textured motifs – referring to weathered materials – simili plains matching intertwining and damask designs, all of them printed on organic material with its irresistible charm.
Imperfect but gorgeous, this noble material stages a subtle superposition between backing and design, each layer adding to the stunning result.
Omexco suggests a new chromatic palette for this second cork collection:
A scale of white tones, ivory, grège and gold, as well as pearl grey, silver, anthracite in combination with icy or Nile blue and shades of jade.

BIJOU
Steeped in a delicate atmosphere, ‘Bijou’ shines in contrasts: shadow and light, matt and shiny, warm and cold colours. Exquisite, declined in soft pastel shades and metallic glimmer, the collection is created around two highlights:
- a handmade collage of marbled paper, in tone-on- tone colours with multiple shimmers of gold, silver or copper - an iridescent embossed non-woven sheet with silver glow, subdued by matt effects.
An ethereal herb design with japanese influences
breathes lightness into the
range, whereas the matching plains have a place of honour as well: oxidized non-woven wallcovering in untamed colours, or motifs of delicate squares enhanced with iridescent stripes, merging into a hazy plain.
Universe of sand and gold, shades of matt white, silvery grey, mix of blue verdigris, pink copper combined with slate blue and cortinar violet...
As a jewel box of beauty, this cosy collection will take you to a more intimate place such as a boudoir.
The elegance and preciousness of the products presented in this range inspired the name ‘Bijou’, superb adornment one would like to wear... At last our walls can reflect our exquisite taste and our wish to dress them up.

KOYORI
Japanese paper cord or “koyori” inspired Omexco’s new wallcovering collection, which consists of paper strips on non-woven backing. The paper strips are slightly twisted, and then warp-laid, either close to one another, as a monochrome plain, either in a bicolour stripe pattern. For some items the yarns consist of cute interlocking loops, as if crocheted. The matt paper yarns are or now and then enhanced with a subtle pearlescent shimmer, which gives them a sophisticated yet natural look. Koyori brings a touch of zen to your interior decoration.
Vivid shades of magenta pink, cherry, turquoise, coral red... alternate with softer colours as celadon green, plum, ivory, fresh grey or golden straw.

KALEIDOSCOPE
The kaleidoscope took its name from the ancient Greek words ’kalos’, meaning ‘beautiful’, ’eidos’, ‘that which is seen: form, shape’ and ’skopeo’, ‘to look to, to examine’, hence meaning ‘observation of beautiful forms’. The colourful, complex and constantly shifting shapes and patterns which can be seen if looking through a kaleidoscope have inspired the new Omexco wallcovering collection. The collection "Kaleidoscope" offers endless decorating possibilities…
The printed non-woven wallcoverings are available in a rainbow of colours, from bold and generous shades like coral red, sunny yellow, peacock blue, emerald green, bright fuchsia, lapis lazuli... to more subdued tones such as apricot, Prussian blue, khaki, taupe and finally soft touches of vanilla, chalk white, ivory, azure, pearl grey. Different structures and effects bring the collection to life: some items evoke textures of burnished metal, silk organza or woven sisal, others simulate sand, stone and concrete effects. A few items are enhanced with metallic shimmer of silver, copper, pink gold, platina...

COLLAGES
Handmade collages of Japanese paper mixed with banana fibres are the eye-catchers in this new wallcovering collection of Omexco, hence called “Collages”. Small pieces of paper are glued on a non woven backing by skilled craftsmen, either to form a stripe, or a random mosaic, enhanced here and there with a glimpse of metallic foil. The visual result is absolutely stunning. This is not just wall-covering, this is wall-art.
The paper collages are combined with non-woven wallcoverings : a printed stone effect and a plain structured with sisal fibres. The colours cover a wide range from natural shades of white, ivory, vanilla, pale pink to more earthy colours like rock grey, limestone, ferruginous soil, and even trendy bold colours like fuchsia, cobalt blue, turquoise, twilight lavender, crimson, flashy orange, rust.

GRAPHITE
The wallcovering collection “Graphite” comprises endless variations on mica: the popular structured mica is combined with mica shells, with mica mixed with recycled paper, with a very naturallooking mixed-sized mica. Some items are printed with a pattern reminding raked sand in japanese zen-gardens, others are embossed with metallic foil, in a tiny square design or an elegant wave.
The natural sparkle of the mineral stones enhance dark colours like graphite, night blue, onyx; they confer a mother-of-pearl glow to gold, cream, grey; they brighten up purple, anthracite, brown, charcoal. Metallic foil adorns the mica stones with touches of yellow and white gold, platina, silver, copper, aluminium.

JUNGLE
Abundant nature, explosive colours, stylized tiger motifs... this time it was the jungle which inspired the new wallcovering collection of Omexco.
Mosaics of bakbak (bark of the banana plant) have been composed in tone-on-tone shades of beetle blue/green, tropical wood, hibiscus red, equatorial haze, milky coconut white... Once the theme set, delicate weaves of natural fibres (sisal and jute) are added, in matching tropical colours: liane and eucalyptus green, colours of the bird of paradise: bright orange and violet, pastel lilac and purple of wild orchids, pomegranate, mango, blue and amber crystal of butterflies, tiger or jaguar yellow and black... These different materials can be perfectly combined. Some sisal items are printed with a tiger motif, and the jungle comes to life...

CAPIZ
Capiz shells, often referred to as “glass oysters” because of their translucent appearance, thrive well in the coastal waters of the Philippines, more specifically in the province of Capiz, where the shells are harvested every fourth month.
Wallcoverings made with capiz shells are the eyecatchers in the collection “Capiz” of Omexco. After a careful cleaning and drying process, the shells are softened, coloured with water-based dyes and then polished. Subsequently small segments of the organic shells are laminated one by one on a non-woven backing, which is then cut into strips. These strips are patiently woven by skilled craftsmen on handlooms. Some weaves in this collection are interwoven with bakbak (bark of the banana tree) providing a refined association of different authentic natural materials.
For each capiz item a group of matching nonwoven wallcoverings was created, making it possible to alternate colours and textures, structures and material. A simili-plain design with an effect of hammered leather, a zebrano stripe and a dotted stripe are printed and embossed on non-woven wallcovering in shades of silver, copper, gold, burgundy, mother-of-pearl, burnt orange, anthracite.
The combination of exquisite craftsmanship and Omexco design makes the Capiz collection truly precious. These exclusive wallcoverings will adorn your walls and enhance your interiors with a touch of exotic and sophisticated elegance.

RAINBOWS
The explosion of colours of recycled sari silk, woven with strips of bakbak (bark of the banana tree) is at the origin of the name of this top-notch wallcovering collection. Each metre of this product is unique, since the colours of the silk alternate, without ever being repeated. The bakbak is coloured in chalk white, cinnamon or chestnut – three different atmospheres to illuminate, soften or intensify the rainbow of the silk fabric. Squares of crushed paper, printed in faded shades and glued on a non-woven backing are in perfect harmony with the bakbak and the natural silk.
Two geometric motifs, embossed on a printed non-woven wallcovering, complete the range and make it possible to combine different colours, structures and materials in one room.
Turquoise, lapis lazuli, fuchsia, scarlet red, chestnut, meringue white, pearl grey, anthracite, acidulated yellow and green dispute the place of honour with metallic accents of copper, white and yellow gold, silver, patine gold…

BORNEO
Borneo... a natural paradise, endless beaches, and a magnificent rainforest... the name of this island in southeast Asia, surrounded by clear blue water, probably meant at the origin “people of the seas”... This unique Omexco collection, ode to the joy of traveling, invites you to sail off to luxuriant vegetation and breath-taking flora.
Borneo offers rich and sumptuous colours and a mosaic of elegant natural materials, reflecting the beauty of the island. It combines precious products, handmade by skilled craftsmen, with ecological non-woven wallcoverings, matt and textured.

COBRA
Snake designs are sliding through this new wallcovering collection of Omexco, hence called “Cobra”. Most items of the collection are printed on natural cork. The cork is harvested manually from the bark of the cork oak, then cut into squares which are glued on a metallic backing. The squares are polished afterwards until they are perfectly smooth and flat, ready to be overprinted. Only specialized handcraft is involved in this elaborated production process. A simili-plain and a faded square motif, also printed on cork, are matching the reptile design. The range is complemented by bi-coloured woven raffia items as well as printed plains and reptile designs on a non-woven backing.
All colours, from the brown-black tiger snake, white python, green copper chameleon, bark brown lizard, greyish crocodile, green water turtle, to the stained cobra are represented in the collection, most of them enhanced with a shimmer of gold, silver or copper, reflecting light and shimmering, as sunshine on a reptile skin.

ALLURE
By its charm and elegant refinement, the collection “Allure” seduces at first sight.
The inspiration for the designs is classic, but the colour scheme and the (over-)size of some patterns confer a surprisingly contemporary look to the textile wallcoverings.
Damasks in different interpretations, whirling curls, stripes, a silky plain and a metallic all-over effect are declined in shades of cream, beige, amber, anthracite, dark olive, scarlet, nutmeg, frosty white, mauve, bronze, pearl. Some patterns are enhanced by gold and silver, embossed on the textile yarns.
The combination of printing and embossing techniques, as well as the use of matt printing colours, silky yarns, sparkling metallic effects result in wonderful light reflections and delicate trompe-l’oeil-effects.

KAMI-ITO
The wallcovering collection Kami-ito, signed Omexco, consists mainly of paper strips, sometimes plain or tone-on-tone, sometimes woven in multicolour geometric designs. Each group of colours is enhanced by a different wallcovering, which combines paper strips and woodsticks, in superb colours.
The variation of weaves and patterns makes it possible to create interesting and colourful interior settings, natural and bright.
A large colour range runs through the collection, switching from acid green and yellow to contrasting black and white, combining “ fruity” colours like raspberry, blueberry and tangerine with pastel pink and grey, enhancing natural colours such as straw, linen, sand and tatami green with leather and mahogany brown

MICA
Mica or “vermiculite” is a mineral formed out of a chemical reaction between quartz and granite. Exposed to extreme heat, the mineral expands into worm-like pieces 2000 or even 3000% of their original size, in a spectrum of brilliant colours. The characteristics of this mineral have been known in Japan for 6 centuries. Mica is also known as “strange stone”, “breathing stone” or “miracle stone”. After the mica has been heat-expanded, it is crushed into small pieces and stuck on a non-woven backing. Finally, the surface is coloured.
The wallcovering collection “Mica” of Omexco comprises different structures and combinations of mica: roughly cut mica, small mica, natural mica, embossed mica, printed mica, mixtures of mica with recycled paper or with olefin.
The material and the structure of this wallcovering allow sparkling shades of sand, starry night, amber, onyx, mother-of-pearl, charoite, gold, bronze, topaz, emerald, copper, anthracite

ZEPHYR
The most precious yarns were selected for this collection of luxurious wallcovering : silk, horsehair and linen.
Horsehair is a fascinating fibre, which has for centuries been woven by craftsmen throughout the world. It has stood the test of time thanks to its natural beauty and durability. The undyed colours and specific texture of horsehair will bestow authentic luxury and prestige to your interior.
Flax, the plant used to make linen, is inherently ecological: it requires no irrigation, it is biodegradable, and every part of the plant has value. Belgian linen has a superior quality due to the unique climate and the expertise of many generations of weavers. Local production makes it possible to continuously improve the technical and aesthetic qualities of this timeles fabric.
The most precious and luxurious natural fibre amongst all, silk, has been desired and treasured since ancient times. No other yarn equals the lustre, the lightness nor the delicate texture of silk, which thus remains a product of subtle refinement.
These different textile wallcoverings can be used separately or in combination. The bright and rich red, blue, purple, yellow of the silk are a perfect match for the natural undyed colours of the horsehair and for the linen yarns, which are available both in natural shades and in a few strong colours (copper, emerald, silver)
